How To Get Access To Food
New clients are required to register by calling 211. The community-wide 211 registration process requires that clients choose to attend only one of the many local food banks that are in operation, but can attend that food bank every time it is open, if needed.

The Thunder Bay Food Bank is open every second Friday from 9 to 11:30 a.m. You can view the most up-to-date schedule here.

Only 1 adult from each household is required to pick-up food.

On the first visit to the food bank, please bring photo ID for yourself and government issued ID for everyone in your household. Also, the person picking up the food will need to show a document with their address on it. For example: utility bill, bank statement, lease agreement etc.

For future visits, only 1 designated primary person from each household is required to show their photo identification.

We are currently operating a grocery store style shopping service. In addition to dry goods, we also offer a variety of perishable and non-perishable nutritious food items to our clients, as available.
